I am taking a Graphic Design class this semester, and I just finished up two projects. I took a little while considering whether or not I should upload them to this blog, considering that it's my photography blog, but in the end, I figured that sometimes graphic design and photography kind of go hand in hand. So, I am uploading them...
The first is a "cutout". This is where you take a subject out of one image and put it into another... I did something similar before in digital photography, for the layer mask assignment. For this cutout, I took my gorgeous friend, Drew, out of this image...
...put her into this image...
...for the final result of this:
The first picture of Drew was a raw picture from our photo-shoot... I proceeded to add filters in order to make it look like she belonged in the picture. I feel I did a pretty good job--although you can still tell she's not supposed to be there. But hey, I'm just starting out :)
The second image I created was taken from the following two pictures:
These were from my impromptu photo-shoot with the gorgemistic Aba earlier this summer. The assignment was to create a banner, so I cropped, erased, cut, edited, filtered, typed, texted (yes, I'm declaring that a word for this) and ended up with this LOVEly banner ;)...
It's not as amazing as I wish it was, but I don't think it's too bad... Plus, it completely shows my personality:
SIMPLY A HOPELESS ROMANTIC <3
