Life is like a Photograph

Life is like an image... When we're SOOC, we are beautiful, exactly how we were made. Raw, unpolished, but still beautiful. But with some time, care, work, and tweaking, we can make ourselves true art that will inspire.... All it takes is a little TLC.

Sometimes, the changes we make are barely visible, but in the end they will have decided the whole look/feel of our lives and personalities....

Occasionally, we'll have to make a drastic change that seems horrible at the time... It seems to change our whole perspective, it effects everything around us, and it can be painful...

But once we've finished cleaning up and polishing that change, adjusting it into our lives, it will fit perfectly, and we'll know it was what we were supposed to do.

Sometimes we may need to get some help from others. This too, may seem strange and too strong at the time, but once again, if you stick through it and work it out....

It too, will make us more beautiful, and closer to what we were created to be.

It may become necessary to make more drastic changes, because we just know that something is missing. It may seem like it's not meant for us at first...

But when we're finished, we are going to be what our Creator made us to be.... Beautiful, shining, wonderful... true art.

If you know something is going to be better for you in the end, go for it. People looking in from the outside may not understand why you're doing what you are, but it's something that must be done. As photographers, we do things in our editing process that looks extreme as we start out, and an outside observer will comment on how it makes the image look terrible... But after we tweak it to fit the image we're working on, they will all agree it actually did improve it.

Just as every image is different, so you edit them in different ways, every person is different. Everyone goes through different trials, makes different changes, and works through things differently. We cannot compare ourselves to others, just as you cannot compare two images to each other. You are unique; love it, work for it, and most of all... embrace it!
